A Wholesome Education for the Whole Child

At Wellheart, we believe every child is naturally curious, capable, and full of potential. Learning here isn’t about memorizing facts. It’s about discovery, connection, and growth. Guided by the principles of the Reggio Emilia philosophy, our students learn through meaningful experiences that help them understand the world and themselves.

Our approach blends academics, creativity, and wellness into a truly wholesome education, one that nurtures intellect, heart, and imagination.

A Learning Experience as Unique as Your Child

Children learn best when they feel seen, supported, and inspired. Our teachers serve as guides, helping students follow their interests, explore their ideas, and make sense of what they experience. Classrooms are designed to spark curiosity, invite collaboration, and celebrate creativity, because the environment itself is part of the learning journey.
We document each child’s progress through photos, reflections, and stories, giving families a window into the magic of their child’s day and reinforcing our belief that education is a shared partnership.

How We Learn

Hybrid Learning: Flexibility That Fits Families

Learning doesn’t just happen inside four walls. For many students, it thrives outdoors, at home, and in the community. At Wellheart, our Hybrid Program combines on-campus learning with guided home study, offering the best of both worlds. Families may choose a 2–3-day on-campus schedule where students receive direct instruction, engage in hands-on projects, and build meaningful social connections—while continuing their studies at home through a teacher-supported curriculum.Hybrid education is more than convenience; it’s built on trust between home and school, where families serve as true co-educators and learning flows seamlessly between both environments. Students remain connected to their classroom teacher for lessons, materials, and ongoing guidance. This partnership honors the shared role of parents and educators, creating a learning experience that is both flexible and deeply personal.

Place-Based Learning

Wellheart students learn from the world around them, exploring nature, community spaces, and their own backyards. This place-based approach helps children see learning as something alive and connected to everyday life.

They might measure snowfall for a math lesson, study local habitats for science, or paint what they see on an outdoor walk. Every experience is an opportunity to wonder, question, and grow.

Mixed-Age Classrooms

Children grow at different paces, and we celebrate that.

Our mixed-age classrooms encourage mentorship, empathy, and collaboration. Younger students learn from older peers, while older students strengthen understanding by helping others, all while learning at a pace that’s right for them.

Inquiry-Based Learning

Curiosity leads the way.

Instead of starting with answers, we begin with questions. Those that spark deep thinking, creativity, and exploration. Students learn by observing, experimenting, and reflecting, discovering knowledge in ways that stick with them for life.

Emergent Curriculum

The best learning comes from genuine curiosity. Our teachers co-create lessons with students, building on their interests, ideas, and real-life experiences. This dynamic approach keeps learning relevant, joyful, and rooted in wonder.
